Zigzag Global works with retailers operating on a variety of ecommerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, and so on; with each platform having its integration mechanisms, retailer onboarding was done manually – which used to take weeks and hence required a solution to simplify and improve the fluency of the processes.
ShopDev developed Integration adaptors called Cartridges which connected ZigZag’s return management system to the retailers’ ecommerce platform via APIs. The solution reduced retailer onboarding time from weeks to minutes.
In parallel, a gateway was developed to integrate third-party applications of closed platforms, showcasing all orders placed in a Web-app. This gateway acted as a middleware between the Retailers and the Cartridges, becoming the single source of order management for all Retailers.
The second part of the solution involved Live Exchanges. Customers could swap it online for products with similar price, weight, and category attributes instead of returning the product. Similar product recommendations led to easy returns for customers with increased conversions.
